If breaks in pelvis showed up in ct and not in xray, does that mean smaller or might heal sooner?

Yes: If there is more than one, it would be unlikely that xrays would be negative. But it is most like that the fracture u r describing is a hairline fx, is not displaced, is a simple fracture that will likely heal faster and cause less pain.
