Altered Perceptions: During an episode of psychosis, one may experience altered perceptions in any of the five physical senses as well altered perception in one's emotional or psychological state. When any of the five senses are involved we call it a hallucination. Visual hallucinations can frequently occur in psychosis. Paranoia and delusions are examples of psychological psychosis. There is treatment. See you md.

Reality is distorted: During a psychosis, reality is distorted in many different ways. No one can give you an answer as to why it would be altered in that fashion, but it is not uncommon. Different people with psychosis will experience different changes. Some people will even have synesthesias, where they hear colors and see sounds.
