Diagnosis....: Acute bronchitis is typically due to either a viral or bacterial infection. It typically resolves within this time frame so your continued symptoms may be due to an alternate diagnosis like allergies. So, see your doctor again because the treatment would be entirely different including prescription nasal spray, bronchodilator inhaler, steroid inhaler, etc. If you smoke, you need to quit asap.
