Could be . . .: But without an in-person examination and possible additional tests, it is impossible to diagnose this online. You should see your surgeon to make sure your progress is normal and the soreness is what is expected rather than a sign of infection. At 4 weeks, soreness should be diminishing, but scar tissue takes 6-12 months to completely settle and mature. There are scar therapies to help-see your md.

The wound should not: Be as you describe fully four weeks post-procedure. Certainly sounds like this may be an infection. See your surgeon asap.
