No diurnal variation: In general, the estrogen and progresterone hormones do not show a signifciant diurnal variation. Fsh and lh (from the pituitary) are involved in cycling, and they have specific periodicities in which they are higher and lower. This is not like cortisol which is lowest at 6-8 am.
