A 33-year-old female asked:

What time of day is best to take birth control pills? is it healthier to be asleep or active when the blood estrogen level is highest?

Any time!: The absolute best time to take a birth control pill is when it's convenient for you to remember! These should be taken relatively at the same time each day, such as before bed, upon waking, etc. If you aren't able to remember daily, set a phone alarm or keep them next to your toothbrush, assuming you brush your teeth once a day. There is no health benefit as far as time of day is concerned.
