Smaller incisions: Usually when on refers to somthing as minimally invasive, it has to do with the incision or lack ther of required to do a particular surgical procedure. With smaler incisions or no incisions the recovery for the patient is much quicker. They can get back to normal activities sooner than with traditional procedures.

Simply...: Using the smallest possible incision to perform a surgical procedure. Often times such incisions are 1/8 inch in length and do not even require stitches.
