Wounds: Woumds or injuries are damage to the normal continuity of cells, tissue, or intercellular substance that disrupts the body's functions and or homeostasis, (regulation of a constant environment). These then stillage a cascade of events to resume normal function called the wound healing cascade. This is a complicated set of events that can be disrupted at various stages to delay healing of wounds.
