Hearing loss: Loss of hearing of from 10- 100 decibels can occur depending on the nature of the problem. Some have progressive loss esp elderly. I hope that answers the question.

Is it normal for a young adult to have much better hearing for high frequencies than low frequencies? Its not that I have significant hearing loss. For low frequencies I can still hear at 20 db, but at higher frequencies I can hear at 0-5 db?
