Yes: It is ok to switch formulas. If 4 different formula bases can be found (soy, dairy, rice, etc.), then giving the same one only every four days can decrease the risk of the infant developing an allergy or sensitivity to any one formula.

Generally yes: Most common formulas are based on cow milk protein. Occasionally, newborns may have a problem handling the protein or the lactose in these formulas. Most commonly, babies spit up or have stool issues because oral feeding is new for them and it takes a while for them to regulate their bodies. Call your pediatrician for specific advice.
