Primary care doctor: Unless there is need for follow-up with a particular hospital-based physician, there is no need to return to the hospital for routine visits. Talk with your family doctor/pediatrician's office to schedule these appointments.

Pediatrician: It is important that you choose a pediatrician as soon as possible, so the baby will be followed up properly and make sure is growing and receiving all the vaccines. The first visit is done within 2 weeks of life.

2 week appointment : The baby's 2 week appointment should be with your pediatrician. Most of the time on discharge from the hospital they make an appointment for a day or two later and at that appointment the pediatrician makes one for two weeks. Either way the 2 week visit is with your pediatrician. Congratulations!
