No: No. Bronchitis and pneumonia are caused either by a virus or bacteria. None of the medications mentioned play a role in treating pneumonia. Pulmicort (budesonide) is a preventive asthma medication and albuterol is a bronchodilator (opens up the airways), a rescue medication for asthma.

No: Neither treat pneumonia, but in patients who have underlying obstructive lung diseases like asthma or copd, pneumonia can worsen symptoms of these diseases and the inhaled medicines you mention can help treat these problems. Albuterol helps dilate the airways and relieve shortness of breath and Pulmicort helps decrease airway inflammation and may also help relive symptoms but more slowly over time.

No...: Albuterol is a bronchodilator that treats bronchospasm while Pulmicort is a steroid inhaler used to treat airway inflammation. If you have bronchitis or pneumonia, you could have bronchospasm and airway inflammation but the infection itself is treated with antibiotics, if bacterial, or symptomatically, if viral.
