Is it a bad idea to mix together pulmicort and albuterol in my nebulizer?

Yes: But not because it is dangerous. A lot of people mix the 2 together for convenience; however, it is more effective to take albuterol 1st and wait about 10 minutes to take the Pulmicort 2nd. This makes sense because albuterol will work quickly to open up the airways allowing the Pulmicort to get further into the airways.
