Dr. Jay Park answered

Negative experience.: Attachment disorders are the result of negative experience during the early attachment process, which relies upon the interaction of both parent and child. If young children feel repeatedly abandoned, powerless, or uncared for, they learn that they cannot depend on others. Sometimes, the circumstances that cause the attachment problems are unavoidable. But the child is too young to understand.
