Maybe: There are some medications that help with symptoms of ptsd, like ssri's (prozac, zoloft, paxil, (paroxetine) etc) but these only help with some symptoms, like moodiness, being too panicky and general anxiety. Some medications help with nightmares, like some blood pressure medications (prazosin, clonidine) but little else. However, therapy can help all those symptoms and can even cure them if done correctly.

No, therapy helps: Medications do not help with memories and emotions associated with sexual abuse, however medications do help with coping with depression, anxiety as well as ptsd associated with abuse. Expression of emotions does become easy in therapy. Common medications used are ssri; prozac, zoloft (sertraline) etc and at times benzodiazepines like Clonazepam and Alprazolam etc.

See below: Medication will help with managing sx that you may experiences as a result of abuse -- mood, sleep, etc. Discussing your issues with a psychologist or a counselor specializing in sexual abuse and/or traumatic experiences will help you with working through your experiences. Good luck!

Possibly: anxiety medication can help. But also consider talk therapy to work through traumatic experiences. I wish you well.
