Not advised: It is generally not advised to use magnetic therapy with a pacemaker present. One might use small magnets on the feet or body parts far away from the pacemaker with safety. It should be noted that the strength of the magnet often determines its power to initiate change. Thus it may not be worth the risk using magnets for the nominal response expected.

Pacer: In general we prefer pacemaker patient to not be in intense magnetic fields. The pacers are shielded but magnetic fields can cause disruptions in the circuitry of the devices notwithstanding if the fields are strong enough.
