Yes: During pregnancy there may be significant alteration of function in your digestive tract. For those who have a familial tendency for gallbladder disease or development of stones, decreased mobility/increased stasis or slowing of your gallbladder function will often cause symptoms to appear for the first time. However, pregnancy itself does not alone cause gallbladder disease.
