How is it possible that drinking cause jaundice of the liver?

The liver does...: ...Not get jaundice, the body does. Liver damaged by drinking cannot get rid of the body's production of bilirubin, a by-product of red cell recycling. Bilirubin is bright yellow and stains skin and eyes, this is called jaundice when it becomes visible.

Liver damage: It causes liver damage, which in turn causes the liver to poorly process bilirubin, which is what leads to jaundice.
