About 60-90 minutes: That is an average but can vary from person to person based on genetics, sex, men tend to have increased metabolism, ethnicity, rate of gastric emptying. Increase activity or amount of liver enzymes from increase tolerance to alcohol. One drink is defined as 1.5 oz of 80 proof spirits, 5 oz of wine or 12 oz of beer.

Alcohol: About 1 hour, but with subsequent drinks it takes more time for alcohol to leave your system as it accumulates. With one drink at 5pm and another at 5:30, it would take until 7pm for the liver to clear all the alcohol.

Help please? How much alcohol can the liver process?

As much as needed: Only if you drink yourself to death, or destroy your liver in the process, will your liver stop metabolizing the stuff. It'll burn it at a steady state, zero-order kinetics -- as much as you throw at it. Why not consider being good to your body and limiting your alcohol consumption to what's sensible?
