Cirrhosis: Scar tissue in the liver is also referred to as cirrhosis. It can be caused by excessive long term alcohol use, chronic hepatitis, bad fatty liver and some other more rare causes.

Infection cirrhosis : Scarring of liver by infections as hepatitis parasites malaria common also alcoholic cirrhosis and trauma are the most common causes.
