Yes it can: There are a variety of potential causes for pain followi g an open appendix removal due to e extensive scar tissue that has formed and may cause traction on adjacent organs or structures. This tends to be most active for the first 6 weeks after injury typically resolving after that but may persist and be indicative of other problems such as obstruction or keloid formation.
