What are the ways to manage unresectable cholangiocarcinoma?

Chemo v. Palliative: Cholangiocarcinoma or cancer of the billiary tract in the liver is a difficult cancer to treat when unresectable. There are a number of chemotherapy options; these are best discussed with a cancer specialist. Many patients with truly end stage disease, usually, but not always, might want to consider a purely palliative approach to care.

Cholangiocarcinoma: Typically chemotherapy , biliary drainage with ERCP and some centers such as ours offer photodynamic therapy . Radiotherapy can also be offered. We recommend you to consult a bile duct cancer expert.
