Numerous: Cholangiocarcinoma is usually suspected when the eyes turn yellow or blood tests show abnormal liver function. The next step is an ultrasound or ct scan. A nuclear scan may also be done. The best test is a biopsy, done when tests are highly suspicious or unrevealing.
