Could the internal thoracic artery be skeletonized?

Not sure: Not sure what you are asking here. If you mean can it become calcified over time, the answer is yes, but it is uncommon. This artery is commonly used as a bypass conduit in coronary bypass operations and it rarely develops a problem in the years post surgery, unless it was used inappropriately or if it was used as a free graft (separated from its origin). Hope this helps.
