A member asked:

What heart valve affects the lungs?

All: Really all heart valves can affect the lungs one way or another. The valves on the left side (aortic and mitral) can do this because when they do not function properly, usually lungs get congested, the valves on the right side (pulmonic and tricuspid) can affect the lungs usually if they are atretic (small) at birth, leading to underdevelopment of the lungs.

That's not: How it works, reword your question & we'll give it a try. You are probably thinking of the pulmonic valve.
