Conduction system: The general rule with the heart is whomever is beating fastest takes over the pacing function. The main pacemaker is the sa node sinoatrial which beats about 70 beats per minute, if the sa node fails the av node atrioventricular takes over which beats at 40-60, then lower down bundle of his, the left and right branches of this bundle, and the purkinje fibres, these beat around 30-40 bpm.
