Often none: Hypertension (HTN) is a silent killer. Patients usually have no symptoms. Sometimes patients experience headaches, blurred vision or chest discomfort. It is not unusual for HTN to be detected on a routine exam. Treatment is effective and lowers the risk of heart attack, stroke and death.
