Immediately: If the bypass is successful, the pain should no longer be present after the surgery. However, the incision itself will be painful for a while, but that should be a differnt type of pain.

Blood flow: Why is:the pain is due to poor circulation to, the heart muscle causing angina pectoris or heart attack. Bypass brings blood past the blockages and feeds the heart muscle cells wen after surgery is within 2 months in general but faster fir some.
