See below: Discuss this with your cardiologist and cardiac surgeon. However if this procedure were not safe they would not advise you to undergo it.

Yes: Low risk! may not need to stop the heart, depending on the anatomy. But we do stop the heart all the time with cold blood and potassium and when warm blood is retuned the heart starts nicely.
