Some criteria include: being no longer helped by medicinal therapy, having angina that is restricting one from doing daily activities, being at high risk of complications if catheterization or surgical treatments were to be done, not having blood pressure, heart rate, or heart valve problems that would disqualify one for eecp, etc...
