Grading severity: The form of heart failure can be divided into systolic (reduced "squeeze") and diastolic (impaired relaxation between beats. There is a classification of severity from the nyha: class i - no effect on activity class ii - comfortable at rest, slight effect on activity class iii - marked limitations of activity class IV - symptoms at rest, unable to carry out any physical activity w/o discomfort.
