Not contagious: Heart failure is not contagious, but if there is a genetic reason for her heart failure, it is possible for the genetic problem to be passed on.

Heart Failure: Unlikely. Unless your aunt has a hereditary heart condition as most of the heart failure in this country is due to coronary artery disease and hypertension.
