Dr. Tarek Naguib answered

Specializes in Nephrology and Dialysis

Unknown: However, the diagnosis of CHF provides for a shorter life span and increased mortality as you are alluding. The degree of severity of chf, adequacy of management, and patient's adherence to therapy are the factors that modify prognosis. Very severe forms provide for limited longevity of 6 to 12 months, whereas, very mild forms may not be associated with significant mortality.
