Several things: Please make sure you are not on nsaids such as ibuprofen. You may need to restrict your salt and fluid intake. You may need a higher dose of Lasix (furosemide) or change to another loop diuretic. You may need additional diuretics which are complementary to the lasix (furosemide). Sometimes lying down and resting after taking the Lasix (furosemide) helps mobilize the fluid. Please talk to your doctor about it.

Diuretics: Heart failure indicates the "pump" is no longer finctioning propertly. Lasix (furosemide) is just one of several types of medications used to treat this condition. Lasix (furosemide) acts in one way, other "water medications" (diuretics) act in otherr ways. Discuss with your physician about adding or switching medications.

Uncontrolled BP: As a 39 year old woman, you need to see a nephrologist (n) or a cardiologist (c) to find out why your BP is not controlled. You could possibly have high BP due to secondary causes, such as a stenosis of the renal artery(ies), or conn' s syndrome. Your heart failure will worsen if your high BP is not controlled. If you have essential hbp, ace-inhibitors or arb's may be of some help. See a n or c.
