It : It would be uncommon but not impossible to get conjuctivitis (pink eye) after blepharoplasty. With lower eyelid incision placement on the inner aspect of the lid some patients do get tissue swelling in the area, but it is rare for an infection to develop.

Hi : Hi there is always a small risk of infection after surgery. Talk to your surgeon at the time of your preoperative consultation about your concerns... Hope this helps.

Possible, unlikely: It is possible that you could develop "pink eye" after blepharoplasty but unlikely. Most often, if you were to have discoloration of the white part of the eye that is from a small amount of trauma to this tissue or temporary dryness following surgery.

Blepharoplasty: "Pink eye" is an infection in the eye. Blepharoplasty does not cause this. Surgery is performed under sterile technique. Infection from blepharoplasty is extremely rare.
