Tinnitus : Tinnitus is not a typical symptom or consequence of whooping cough (pertussis). That being said, i cannot definitively say it can't cause it. Tinnitus has many causes and is the symptom of many common problems. The most common is hearing loss. If the tinnitus is problematic or worsening, then you should get a hearing test and an evaluation by an otolaryngologist (ent).

Hello, : Hello, i can't tell by what you have written if you only attended basic training. If you have been deployed to combat areas and been involved with loud noise and / or blast injuries (like ied, mortars, rpg's etc), this is a common cause of both tinnitus and hearing loss. Normally you would have had separation physical and audiogram prior to separation or retirement that would have picked this up.
