If : If you have type 2 diabetes, not having your Insulin is not life threatening but will cause your sugars to be much higher. Drink plenty of fluids. In many states you do not need a prescription to get insulin. If you have no coverage for meds, all the Insulin companies have a patient assistance program to help out. For now if you can, call your doctor to get a refill on your Insulin right away. And don't let yourself run out in the future.

Weakness : Weakness and dry mouth are signs of dehydration in the context of uncontrolled blood sugar (diabetes). If you have been Insulin dependent for a long time, you can also be at risk of diabetic ketoacidosis, a very serious complication. You will need medical evaluation and if out of Insulin you can obtain it without prescription from pharmacy (regular Insulin and cloud nph). If these Insulin products are not familiar to you, you can call your medical office for samples and further instructions. If no access to such advise, go to your nearest er and ask for social worker to help you out with getting back on track. Good luck. Cayce t.
