Hello, : Hello, it sounds like your husband has had a change in status since he was examined. It doesn't state if it is tender, painful or if there is drainage. Fever? Warmth, erythema, swelling to the point of hardening may well represent an infection. He needs to be re-evaluated. For fever or severe abdominal pain, he should go to the er. If not, i would call the general surgeon in the morning and tell him or her / staff about the changes your husband has eperienced over the last three days.Take care.
