A member asked:

How long after laproscopic hernia surgery can i go back to heavy construction work?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: It depends on the type of hernia, but the usual postop instructions for my patients are to return to all usual activity as tolerated. It is usually 1-3 weeks for a groin hernia, and 3-6 weeks for a ventral hernia. Hope this helps!
