Is a bone biopsy painful? i'm nervous about my upcoming bone marrow biopsy. is it painful? what sort of pain medication is used?

It : It depends where the biopsy is done and what type of anesthesia is used. Anesthesia may range from local anesthetic like lidocaine, conscious sedation or general anesthesia. Post operative pain maybe treated with narcotic pain medication. Good luck!
