It depends: If done by an experienced health care worker(doctor/nurse) the bone marrow biopsy can be tolerable(mild to moderate amount of pain). They use local anesthesia which controls 90% of the pain. So i would not worry too much about it and get it done. Just make sure that the person doing the biopsy has done more than 20 biopsies before and does them fairly frequently(>1 per month).
