Dysport : Dysport isn't exactly the same chemical as botox, but it is very similar and at a practical level behaves nearly identically in clinical practice.

Very similar: Both drugs work exactly the same by blocking connection between motor nerves and muscles. Studies have not shown any statistical differences in longevity (3-4 months) or effectiveness. They are made by competing companies. My advice: go with an experienced injector at a reasonable cost.

Neurotoxin: they are both neurotoxins but different isomers. They have a similar mechanism of action. There are slight difference in their dosing, onset of action and final result.

Not exactly...: Dysport and Botox are both forms of botulinum toxin used to treat lines of expression in the face. The biggest difference that you would notice is that Dysport generally has a faster onset (3-5 days instead of 7-10). Because of patents, Dysport has a slightly different structure, but they are both used for the same purpose.

The advantage is: that dysport could be an option for people who are resistant to Botox.
