A member asked:

I have been told i have temporalis hypertrophy , we have just tried botox injections to help. what can i do if this doesn't work ? what is the cause?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Chronic contractions: Any muscle "hypertrophies" or increases in size when it contracts more than usual or more than normal. That's the reason you are being given BOTOX so that perhaps, you will have the muscles relaxed and go back to a normal size eventually.
