Why do i need to see my primary doctor before a brow lift? the surgeon i talked with told me he would only do my brow lift after i'd seen my primary care doctor for written clearance. why?

Maybe, : Maybe, your physician is going to use general anesthesia. If done under local anesthesia in an office or outpatient setting, this usually is not necessary.

Just Ask: While we can speculate why the surgeon you spoke to is requiring clearance from your primary care physician, (existing medical conditions, general anesthesia, etc), it is best to just ask the surgeon. I require a H&P and CBC to clear brow lift patients for surgery because AAAASF facility certification protocol requires it and it is a good safety standard practice for elective surgery.
