Lack of sleep can lead to many physiological (high blood pressure, heart disease) and psychological (irritability) will result. There : There is no question that sleep deprivation could result in irritability, however it is very important to have your husband checked to be sure there isn't a more serious disorder. For example, bipolar disorder can cause both short sleep and irritability at the same time. I suggest scheduling an appointment with your family doctor or with a sleep specialist to take a closer look at what may be going on.
