Is the stomach flu contagious like the regular flu? a friend is sick with the stomach flu. i wanted to bring them some flowers, but then thought i might be able to catch it like with the regular flu. is there any chance i might catch it?

Stomach : Stomach viruses are highly contagious, which is why they spread so quickly on cruise ships.

Less so but easy: The primary mode of transmission is virus in saliva, that ends up on fingers & out on objects in the environment. It is passively transferred when someone touches that site & then their face. Regular flu has the added transfer mode of airborne droplets from a cough. Visit, touch nothing & wash hands well before/after & you should be fine.
