It : It sounds like some minor adjustments were needed for your bite, which is perfectly normal. Your bridge is not weaker, and you will not get sick from any of the shavings. All dental prosthetics are custom fitted items and sometimes the models that are taken can be off by a fraction of a millimeter, resulting in the need for an adjustment.

When : When a bridge is inserted it is normal for the bite to need some adjusting. Normally it is done outside the mouth but may need to be altered slightly intra-orally. There is nothing to be concerned with, nothing unhealthy and it should not weaken the bridge.

Minor : Minor contouring and adjustments like this are common and normal. While we hope to deliver restorations that do not need adjustments in any way, it doesn't always turn out that way. There is likely no significant issues with longevity. Swallowing the particles should pose no problem, and they should pass through your system uneventfully. If the metal is safe enough to be in your mouth indefinitely, then the particles are safe as well.
