Soon after surgery: Trigger finger surgery often involves an incision requiring one to weeks to heal following surgery. Avoiding lifting with the affected hand can help ensure that the wound will heal appropriately. Typing, dialing a telephone, and other non-loading activities may commence immediately following surgery. Once sutures are removed at one to two weeks following surgery, all activities may resume.
