A member asked:

I had trigger finger surgery last wednesday is it okay to get stitches wet in the shower?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: I let my patients get the incision wet 48-72 hours after surgery. However, every surgeon is different and it's best if you ask your surgeon what his protocol is as many hand surgeons like to leave the wound covered for up to a week.
