The : The hydroscan may be a hida (hepatobiliary iminodiacetic acid) scan which is used to evaluate gallbladder function. A gallbladder stimulating hormone is given and then function is tracked with a radioactive solution.

HIDA scan more detai: Actually hida scan for evaluating involves initially injection of radio tracer that extracted from blood stream by liver cells, courses the liver, and then moves through biliary system to gallbladder, bile ducts, then bowel. Patient given hormone cck to stimulate gall bladder to contract. Amount of contraction and symptoms incurred determine results of test.
